It’s not generosity. It’s justice.

When it comes to pricing, I do things a little differently, so permit me a bit of backstory to explain why I approach pricing the way I do.

When I opened Sanctuary in 2024, I was committed to exploring what might be possible if we adjusted the economic model in the direction of something more collaborative than other places in the same market. I wanted to see what might happen if we eliminated the barriers to access and just leveled the playing field when it came to what people paid to get in the doors. To do this, we made all classes pay-what-you-can and also introduced a membership model - The Outer Circle - for people who could afford market rates for unlimited classes.

Lots of people said it wouldn’t work. They called into question our ability to generate the volume needed to support this model, the integrity required of people who came to class (“won’t they just take the class for free even if they can pay?!?”), and the overall idea that success could come from a community-based model.

Do you know what happened?

We broke even in the fourth month and by year-end, we turned a 40% profit.

And we didn’t do it on the backs of our teachers or compromising on the expenses related to our physical space. We pay our teachers twice the market rate and the place where we practice is beautiful… and still, we’ve turned a profit month-over-month.

Is it magic that made this possible? Not at all. It’s a testament to the fact that people are good and when you give them something good to do, they show up for it.

Those who can pay more, do; those who can’t are not deprived of access and when they find themselves in a different financial position, they contribute accordingly.

And I am committed to applying these same principles about payment to this work, creating more access for the people who need it most. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

Below I’ll lay out a slate of services with prices attached. These prices are based on the current market rate for someone with my professional experience, portfolio, and skill set. There are two different rates - one applies to for-profit organizations and the other to non-profit. Why the difference? Because non-profits are tasked with solving complex social problems with a fraction of the budget available to for-profit operations, but both sectors need the tools I have to offer. The pricing reflects this reality.

For customized requests, I’ll hold firm on the prices because a customized request requires that I create new content, but for the Unburdened offering, I’ll approach it from a pay-what-you-can perspective. If you’re able to offer market rates, then offer market rates. If you’re not, offer me what you can and together we will get your people the tools they need.

    Non-Profit: $6,000-$10,000 (dependent on number of sessions)
