Welcome

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Sarah, a former healthcare executive turned speaker, writer, and entrepreneur. Like so many others, I spent the first half of my life climbing the corporate ladder and building a successful career only to discover that the closer I got to the top, the further I found myself from the things that mattered to me. And so I left and went looking for more meaning.

In 2016, I founded The Beautifull Project - a storytelling collective that has reached tens of thousands of women across the globe with its powerful message about bodies, beauty, and belonging.

In 2024, I took what I learned from those stories and translated them into a brick-and-mortar experience at Sanctuary Studios, a pay-what-you-can home for movement and meditation where every body belongs. After over 10,000 visits since March of 2024, Sanctuary has become a place for people to come back to their bodies and home to themselves.

Today, I’m pouring my time and attention into teaching what I’ve learned about the power of being in my body because I believe there is no single more effective intervention for moving in the direction of a meaningful life.

In my presentations, I harness the power of spoken stories to create an experience that is something other than the ordinary, something that is set apart. While my favorite topics are those concerned with how we can truly be well, I also love customizing a keynote or corporate training suited to meet the needs of your people that provides practical tools while also inspiring change and leaving a lasting impression.

WHY PEOPLE WORK WITH ME

  • Chris Caves, Coordinator - TEDx

“I co-coordinate a local TEDx event in Davenport, Iowa. In March of 2019, Sarah Stevens was a speaker on our stage. She brought the house down! Sarah not only has a powerful message about body image, acceptance, and courage, but she delivers that message with oratory expertise of a classically trained philosopher and speaker.”

  • Dave Breen, President/CEO - Special Olympics Illinois

I am happy to provide an extremely positive referral for Sarah Stevens and her Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging work with Special Olympics Illinois. Sarah has gotten to know Special Olympics Illinois and our culture along with our team in a very short time. I believe her presenting and leadership skills and outlook are tremendous. The enthusiasm I have for Sarah is centered on her outcome based vision and results for DEIB work and making sure it moves the needle tied to business results.”

  • Kim Rojas - Bettendorf High School

"Not many people can stand in front of 600 teenage girls and hold their attention for an entire presentation, yet for Sarah this seemed as natural as if she were having a conversation with a good friend. Not only did she make the content engaging and relevant to her young audience, but the delivery was heart-felt, authentic, and captivating.”

  • Alex Dirk - ARA Rental

“Sarah’s weight-neutrality wellness presentation fluctuated between humor and sobering sincerity. She lured us in with her warmth and authenticity. A natural storyteller, she purely shares her experience, unguarded. The topic was a new concept for many in the audience, and Sarah left them in prolonged thought.”

  • Amy Jones - Senior Director of Social Impact, Royal Neighbors of America

The presentation on stress and burnout offered a much-needed opportunity to pause and reflect. It helped me recognize how easily we let stress take the driver’s seat in ways that don’t serve us well. I walked away feeling both smarter and equipped with practical tools to manage stress more effectively. In fact, I shared one of those tools with my family that very night at dinner — it sparked a great conversation!
